Earth

So.. I’m sitting here wondering why…

Why? You say? Why What?

Well… I’m amazed on the beauty all around me.. the Rockies, the trees, the animals, the water… and I’m wondering why we, as humans, have desecrated this earth?

I know it’s a lot to think about... but really. Why are we allowed to ROAM the earth & destroy just about everything we touch and yet a beaver builds a dam and man has to destroy it because it doesn’t fit into the ‘scheme’ of things. Why a tree starts to grow beside a busy highway and man (I mean People) has to go and chop it down because it may be in the wrong spot.

Have we, as humans got to a point where our usefulness has run out? At one time we worked with the land and the contours of it… cultivating, learning, growing within our environment. Now we just plow right through it and don’t seem to give a shit about the destruction it causes.

I know that people ‘care’ about their environment, up to a certain point: until it interrupts with their way of life, but will we ever get back to really caring for this earth and the creatures that should have it in the first place?

Thoughts?

Good bye my friend!

On Friday at 2330 hrs Terry & I left for Pincer Creek AB to say good bye to a friend... an extended member of our Family, Don Glen. Although we only knew him for a short time, Don made sure that we, and everyone around him, were treated as family. He opened his heart, his home, and his life up to everyone he had the pleasure to know.

My life is better for knowing Don and he will be truly missed.

We arrived back home safely at midnight, Saturday: our hearts saddened by this tremendous loss.

Don: Thank you for everything you did in our lives. You will be truly missed! Good bye my friend.

Also to Johnny Mack & his family.... thank you for your hospitality. Your's is truly a generous heart!
