Cleaning my desk out... for good!

So I’ve started cleaning out my desk and getting ready to leave my department. I’m in conflict; I am energized that I will not be treated like dirt anymore, but this is the job I always wanted.

I know this is for the best – especially for me mentally – but I’ll miss educating people & helping: if the department had only let me do my job. They hire adults to do a job and then treat them as children…. I think with years of life experience along with a 3.85 GPA that the glass ceiling would have been removed – HA! The department just made it a glass box to see what I could do to help people – and then take away my ability to do so.

Off to better things…
